I hope that you all had a good World Card Making Day. I had a great time in the company of some very lovely ladies. That is one of the many blessings that come along with being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I have met so many wonderful people in the past year, and am now very fortunate to be able to call some of them friends.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator and member of my team, Joanne. She has recently started a blog called Stampin With Jo. I love the cards that she has made with Season of Joy. So a very big welcome to the Stampin' Up! family, Joanne. I hope you have as much fun being a demo as I do!
This is the card that we made on Saturday. I am not a very 'purple' person, but I really like the colour elegant eggplant; it is such a lovely dark rich colour. I also wanted to use some of the coordinating ribbon. I can't keep stroking it all forever!
I used the paisley background stamp, True Friend stamp set, Elegant Eggplant and Pale Plum cardstock and ink (and a bit of whisper white thrown in), versamark, 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, 1/2 pearl from pretties kit.
We also made one of the box bag 'thingies' using the Season of Joy set and textured card stock. I am so loving this set, and I can see that swirl being one of my favourite year round stamps! The colour inspiration came from the new catalogue, Old Olive, Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip.
That's it for today. I'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow if you get a chance to stop by...
P.S. Sorry for the bad colouring in the photos, it has been a grey day and I just couldn't get a good picture. Trust me I tried too many times LOL!
