Yeah I know it...you are now cursing me for putting that annoying song in your head! SORRY! If you have no idea which song I am talking about then you are very, very lucky! LOL!
My Christmas tree's branches are certainly lovely covered in silver bling!
I ordered some silver Stampin' Up! embossing powder the other week and decided to pull it out to use with my new Season of Joy stamp set. This set is available here in the UK from noon on Wednesday October 1st (along with all of the other gorgeous sets and accessories in the new catalogue!).
This was a difficult card to photograph and the colours don't look as good as in real life. I used Night of Navy, Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace.
I decided to emboss the star image from the top of the tree onto my grosgrain ribbon, I was pleased with the results. I also edged one of the sentiment circles with versamark and silver embossed it. I had so much fun with the embossing powder as you can see! It is so super fine and I just like watching it change from a dull grey to this yummy sparkly silver. I know that is so SAD, but a crafty girl can't help it!
Now I need to find that tutorial that I saw months ago to make an anti-static embossing buddy. We didn't get one in the new catalogue and I so needed one!
My tutorial it appears didn't save to my laptop properly so I will have to redo it and post it tomorrow. Hurry up with that other laptop pleeeeease Shauny!
Oh and before I go
A Big Thank You...
...goes out to the lovely ladies that attended my Macmillan coffee morning on Friday. We had a great time, made a card or two, ate cupcakes and cookies, and had a good giggle (courtesy of a wonderful double act...you know who you are).
On the morning we raised £30 from donations...I will finalise my September profits tomorrow and give you the grand total on Wednesday.
Until tomorrow, Happy Stampin'
