Had a great day...

Yesterday I had a wonderful day at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training event in Leeds. The day was full of excitement and we got to play with some of the new products from the upcoming mini catalogue. I'm not allowed to share just yet...but you are going to love it!!!

I love going to events with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators, they are always so friendly and brimming with inspiration. One of my favourite things at these events is the chance to 'swap'  with other demos.

Here is the card that I took along to swap, I made it in four colourways. Sorry that the picture isn't the best but I was rapidly losing light. The daffodils were made using the flower accent stamp and 1" circle punch. I also used the beautiful 'Just Believe' stamp set.

 

 

I received some amazing cards and 3D items in return and will show them to you over the next few days.

To finish off here is a great picture of some of my downline, Brenda (my newest team member), Sharon (Lisa's downline) and Lisa at the training event. Also on our table was a really lovely demo from North Wales, Claire. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of Claire but you can take a look at her blog here.

 

What could be better than spending a fabby day with such lovely ladies, I LOVE MY JOB!

February's All Day Event

On Sunday, Sharon, Lisa and myself were joined by 24 wonderful ladies for the latest of our all day events at Hethersett Village Hall. I love these days as they are filled with so much laughter, fun and of course crafting! It sounds a bit gushy but Sunday was really refreshing for my soul and I am really looking forward to our next event in May! Thank you to everyone that came along and made it so special.

This session was all about cards and Sale a Bration. Each attendee received the versatile Flower Accent stamp to take home and we showed them different ways to use it. We 'kissed' and 'reverse kissed', heat embossed, distressed and even made a butterfly using the flower.

 

As promised here are the measurements to start with when making panels using the scallop trim border and corner punches (used on the rosette card):

Square Mats

 4 3/4"       will give 10 Scallops on each side 
 4 1/4"       will give 9 Scallops on each side 
 3 3/16"     will give 8 Scallops on each side 
 3 1/4"       will give 7 Scallops on each side 
 2 7/8"       will give 6 Scallops on each side 
 2 3/8"       will give 5 Scallops on each side 
 1 15/16"    (Using only corner punch) 

Rectangle Mats

A few examples are:

3 13/16" x 4 3/4"
3 1/4" x 5 3/4"
2 7/8" x 1 15/16"
