Last day of March...hooray!

I didn't get on here yesterday as I had a party at Sam's house yesterday and was busy prepping for that. We had a great time and made a card and favour box using the brand new Forest Friends stamp set and the new Oval punches and matching Oval all stamp set. BUT you will have to wait until tomorrow to see piccies of the projects...bad light and I need to borrow Shauny's camera. Mine is rubbish LOL!

I have got another card and favour box  from March's Stampers 10 meeting to share with you though...I took the pictures the other day when we had some sunshine.

I am using the Oval set on pretty much everything right now...I just love it and I know you will too. The mini catalogue goes live tomorrow and I have an order ready and waiting! If you would like a copy of the mini catalogue please contact me and I will get one to you in the post.

 Here is the box open, filled with some yummy co-ordinating chocolates that I found in Marks and Spencers.

I really enjoy the stampers 10 meetings every month. In fact I have a great job...I get to craft (and chat) with some really lovely people and call it work at the same time.

An extremely talented scrapbook artist, and to top it all she makes gorgeous cards as well. She is the Queen of mini books and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Lisa

Lisa (last but certainly not least!) has been cardmaking for more than 18 years and she has a wealth of information and always has a new tip or trick to tell. As well as her gorgeous creations she also shares the yummiest of recipes on her blog.

Hurry up April!

Ok, I know it isn't good to wish away time, but March has been up and down for me so I just want to move onto the next month! Oh and I am sure that you all know about the new MINI CATTIE coming out on the 1st April...

My 'ups' included a fantastic trip to Ireland. I am so in love with this country and I have only seen a small part. I have some photos to share and will add a gallery to the sidebar tomorrow. (Shauny has the pics on his computer so I will need to say pretty please LOL)!

My other good moments in March include Mother's Day and my Stampers 10 meeting.

My Mum, my brother and his gorgeous family joined us for a big roast on Mother's Day and we had a lovely time. My Dad was dearly missed but he would have wanted the day to be as special as possible for my Mum...so that was the plan!

The card I made my Mum using A Rose is a Rose. This is one of my new sets that I got for free with my promotion to Silver 1 - I had £100 to spend, YIPPEE!

 

I also wanted to show you the dining table. The Stampin' Up! philosophy of everything co-ordinating must have rubbed off on me...green, pink and orange were the colours that I chose. If you click on the images above you can see a larger version. I used the triple flower punch to make table confetti from Regal Rose cardstock. Even the yummy raspberry fudge matched, and oh boy was it good. Orchids are her favourites so when I saw these in Marks and Spencer I just had to get them.

I was given a pamper day for Mother's Day, a new hairstyle and a manicure.  I had a lovely time (this Friday just gone) and I was going to take a photo but ended up in A&E instead with a concussion! Here is the offending object...

A great big heavy Mag-lite! WE were moving furniture around upstairs and it was sitting on a shelf on the landing (Shaun had used it minutes earlier in the loft). Well I was the person going backwards and bumped into the shelf. Next comes the big ouch moment...the mag-lite hit me just below the temple.

I am doing ok now as long as I can remember not to lean on or touch that side of my head. But hey maybe it was the jolt to the brain that made me come back to my blog, tee-hee!

Well I had better get heading off as Shaun will be back from Surrey in a few minutes. See you tomorrow with news about Stampers 10 and an introduction to some new members of my team, and maybe a pic of my hair if I can style it (painful bump willing)!

My wish list is too long!

Now that the gorgeous new catalogue has been revealed, have you had a chance to take a look? What is your favourite new item? You should have guessed mine by now as I have gone on about so much over the last few weeks...yes you got it, the scallop edge punch. I would love to hear from you so if you have the time please leave a comment.

No more sneak peeks needed so I can finally show you the projects that we made at the demo field training in High Wycombe.

This card was made using the new stamp set A Rose is a Rose. I love this set, and I am sure that you will see a lot more of it in the future as it is top of my wish list.

When I first saw this set in the catalogue I have to say I really didn't think that much of it. But then the magic happened, the rubber stamps were in my hand and I saw how wonderfully the images came together to make this card.

Oh and I must give a shout out for the fabulous paper snips. I had heard the American demos talk about how amazing these scissors were for cutting paper and I just couldn't wait to try these at the training night. I was not disappointed, they are really sharp and fit into the tiniest corner. they make cutting a breeze and I just had to order a pair today, (along with lots of other goodies!) There was once a time when I just thought that scissors were just scissors right? OH NO not anymore!

This cute little box/bag was made using Fall Flair which is one of the lovely new hostess sets. (level 2).

Oh and the double stitched grosgrain ribbon is just so luxurious. It is a fantastic quality and in chocolate chip it looks very yummy! This leads me to a quick question...does anyone else feel hungry when I talk about some of the Stampin' Up! colours? Mmmmm, creamy caramel, pumpkin pie, so much for my diet!
