OOPS!

Where did June go? Not really sure, but at least I made it back before the end of the month....just!

Last Tuesday I went to SU! demonstrator field training in Peterborough. We had a great time and it was lovely to see so many other demos and put faces to names. We all took part  in a card swap, this is mine using Frames with a Flourish and the butterflies are from Cause for Celebration (hostess level 2).

How amazing it was to be in a room filled with so much talent - here are the beautiful swaps that I received.

And some wonderful Christmassy ones...

What more can a crafty girl ask for? A chatty/giggly road trip, hunky fireman, lots of stamping and great company. I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator...

One last photo. This one is for Lisa, one of my super talented downline...taken from Shaun's office window yesterday. The ladies that shared the journey to Peterborough with me will know why, it's an 'ISM' thing!

June sunset

In a few minutes Angie, the newest member of The Crafty Inklings, will be holding her first ever Stampin' Up! party. I know that she will be fantastic, and wish her lots of luck for this evening.

See you in a couple of days,

Have yourself a merry little Monday

Last week Julie had a party at home, and I had a great time so thank you Julie (and hubbie!) for your wonderful hospitality.

I used the Wild About You stamp set and we made some fun cards. Here is my first Christmas card of the year...

Penguin-Christmas

What you can't see very well on the photo is the sparkly glitter on the snow tops. I have seen penguins sliding down a slippery slope somewhere before but can't remember where to give credit - sorry.

The greeting and spinning snowflake come from Season of Joy.

Cardstock:       Real red, bashful blue, whisper white and basic black.
Ink:                Black Staz-on, bashful blue ink pad.
Accessories:    Circle punches, versamark pad, heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds.

Technological breakthrough!

Yes it really was...at long last my laptop is working properly once again. Every single bit of it! Time to do the happy dance LOL!

There is so much to catch up with, I hardly know where to start.

Last week I held my stampers 10 meetings, one on Monday daytime and one on Tuesday evening. We made the same projects at both meetings but the contrast between the two was amazing. The ladies that attended the Monday meeting all enjoyed a few hours of crafting and chatting. My Tuesday ladies enjoyed the same crafting and chatting, with a large helping of giggling with a little dash of rowdiness thrown in, LOL!

I had a fantastic time on both days and always look forward to getting together with my Stampers 10 clubs. The projects we made are above. The main stamp set used was Petal Pizazz and all colours are from the Bold Brights family.

Do you fancy joining in next month. If you do I have a couple of spaces left in my second group. For more information take a look here.

I also set a challenge to my Stampers 10 ladies every month, and this month they were asked to use some designer paper on their creation. Here are some of the lovely projects:

 Helen May challenge

This beautiful card was made by Helen using Haiku DP and an image from Summer by the Sea.

Lovely as a Tree is one of my favourite Stampin' Up! sets and this gorgeous card was made by Sharon.

I haven't as yet found a use for the tiny leaf stamps and I love the imaginative way that Sharon has used one of them as accents.

I  love to make 3D items and Michelle C made this lovely box decorated with the new Tea Party designer paper. It is stunning ITF.

This would be perfect to house a set of matching 3"x3" cards.

I have just realised it is getting late so I will end here and I'll be back tomorrow.

Take care,

Michelle x

Can't live with 'em, Can't live without 'em!

Computers that is! My laptop has been leading me a merry dance for way too long now, hence my absence. Shaun is doing his best to fix the issues but I seem to have a gremlin...one problem is sorted, then another appears. At the moment my outlook has stopped working so I am getting my email via webmail. If you have sent me an email in the last week it has been lost somewhere amongst the chips and circuitry, so please, please, please could you send it again.

Cupcakes class

I have been busy with my Cupcake classes, which I have been thoroughly enjoying. The ladies that spent the day with me last Friday just sparkled! (Ladies you know what I mean! LOL)  I have another cupcakes class this Saturday and I am so looking forward to it! For more info on my upcoming classes please visit Crafty Classes.

This gorgeous set uses the SWEET ALWAYS designer paper. During May if you buy three packs of designer paper you get a fourth pack for FREE.

For the Bawburgh Ladies...

Hi all,

This is a very quick post for the lovely ladies that I met at Bawburgh today. I had a great time and thank you very much for inviting me along.

I just want to point you in the direction of the template for the little favour box we made today. CLICK HERE to go the post with the template!

My laptop is playing up again so I have had to hijack a few minutes of internet time on Tj's computer. Hopefully it will be sorted out tomorrow and I will be able to post on my blog again with some projects. If you have sent me an email this weekend I haven't been able to access them, but will catch up with it all tomorrow.

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend,

I was given a challenge...

and that challenge was Men's cards!

Helen was our Stampers 10 hostess this month and she asked if we could make some masculine cards. Well my jaw hit the floor at first because I don't know about you but I always find these difficult so shy away from them.

I now have to say a big thank you to Helen because I am loving thinking up different ideas, and have many more manly card ideas to try out now.

So whatever the challenge, give it a go, you will more than likely be pleasantly surprised!

Here are the cards that we made:

Beer cheers to you

The stamp set used is Cheers to you, the frothy beer tops are mounted on Stampin' dimensionals which doesn't show on the photo. The Designer paper is the yummy Summer Picnic  . Finished off with a piece of Old Olive grosgrain and a jumbo eyelet. These look great on masculine cards.

Tree fathers day

Not a great picture but this card uses Forest friends, sanded background and a simple Old Olive and Chocolate Chip colour scheme.

I just love the old style hodgepodge hardware in the pewter, it adds just the right touch to men's cards.

A little bit of doodling to finish it off.

The photo below shows the card opened up, and has much better lighting.

I think I will have to make a little photography tent ha ha!

Tree fathers day open

That's about all from me today but I would like to finish by wishing Lisa good luck with her Open House today.

Happy Stampin'
